Surfing
Design: Swami Surf Co. Boards
“Swami Surf Co. is a new breed of surf company with a very stylish and modern approach to the surfer lifestyle. Named after a point break in California and based out of London, Swami’s Surf Company combines traditional artisan surfboard craftsmanship with hi-tech imagery. Bold graphics are printed onto silk and cut into the surface of the board which is then encapsualted within layers of resin to give striking depth to the visuals. The brand upholds the traditions of classic English craftsmanship combined with a pure and exclusive aesthetic sense.”
Documentary: Rio Breaks

“Rio Breaks tells the story of two best friends, Fabio and Naama, as they navigate their way between life in the slums and surfing on their favorite beach. Thirteen-year-old Fabio and twelve-year-old Naama live in a huge favela near Arpoador Beach, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. What will happen to these best friends? Will their friendship survive the pressures of life in the favela? Can surfing offer a way out and the possibility of a better life?
This is the story of Rio Breaks.”
Unfortunately, screening of Rio Breaks has been and gone (oops!), but I’m pretty desperate to see this so as soon as i hear any info, I’ll be sure to update!

Blog: Surf, breasts and living forever…
Now before you say anything, I’d be gay for not putting these pictures up. Music and sideboobs are a great combination and I thank Lifelounge for drawing my attention to this. Now what is most annoying is that “all this got me to thinking” about women with great bodies, days gone by, surfing and general good vibes. Hop, skip and a jump… ZEPHYR SONG by RHCP!!!!! Only to find that f**king other kind of ‘gay’ not~to~be incorporated crap on YouTube which doesn’t permit posting official videos. It vexes me so, as not only is the song delicious but it does that amaaaaaaazing seventies style split screen thing which you can see to 0.08% of its effectiveness with this lousy still seen here…
So out to be outdone by industry tightbottoms, I’ve decided to do the next best thing…which is all I can do, a post of the still, but press play and sing a long curtsey of the fact
this is one of the singiest alongest tunes that ever was conceived. Now please note, the final lyrics relate to “living forever”…
Fly away on my zephyr, Were gonna live forever…
On that note (har, har) t’is the 102th birthday of Brazil’s most famous architect today, Oscar Niemeyer, who in a refreshing turn of phrase told AFP that living forever isn’t all its cracked up to be. He said, “Turning 102 is crap, and there is nothing to commemorate.”
And he should know. Now all sing along…
