Meryl Donoghue - Once Upon A Lie…
The latest exhibition at StolenSpace is Meryl Donoghues’ (premier/solo) ‘Once Upon A Lie..’
I wandered into StolenSpace on Sunday and was instantly drawn to Donoghues dark images of strange hybrids of people and animals. The images are born from pencil drawings and then digitally created to add an almost-believable photographic quality. Transferred from page to screen, the images are constructed from photography and then manipulated.
