Carry-On Jersey Shore by Terry Richardson.
He was only ever one expensive lense away from the kind of guy who rubs his crotch against you on crowded trains, yet only last month Terry Richardson’s work set the unholy precedent for the fa-shun. The powers that be ramming Tezza’s perv’s eye view down everyone’s throat to the point where it felt not okay to think his pics weren’t ok.But they weren’t ok.
I mean this guy managed to get us to think ‘teenage genitals’ when buying a freakin t-shirt (along with that other stand out, wouldn’t-leave-your-kids-with Dov Charney.) So model Jamie Peck’s damning account of her afternoon with ‘Uncle Terry’ really has given his work a whole new aesthetic (to me anyway). I mean now that I can’t take the guy seriously, nothing he does seems shocking so much as massively camp a la Carry-On films of the 60’s/70’s.
A sandwich?? Oh Matron!
(Btw, I fucking hated the Carry-On films. They were terminally unfunny and about as sexy as stomach ulcers.)
Anyway, go here for Interview magazine who no doubt still hawk his stuff as edgy, raw and ablah,blah,blah fat squirrel.

Interview Countdown: Rye Rye
Holy Moly! So as I mentioned in an earlier post I was wading through a load of interviews, and soooo, just doing a bit research on our up&coming EXCLUSIVE with MIA protege Rye Rye, when turns out she is indeed with child, much like her mentor who gave birth earlier this year! Talk about following in the pitter patter of tiny footsteps! So CONGRATS to the young lady! And gotta split but interview that was done with her before baba news coming up…. stay posted!

Art: Whip Interview countdown
Ok, so I kind of know this is lazy journalism but given that we are fundamentally an art based site I’m not gonna beat myself up to much about it - on the contrary I’m actually gonna give myself a hearty back pat for thinking up such a wonderous scheme… So, if I were you I’d be asking what the hell am I blabbering on about. Well the thing is my dear friendlings, I’m currently sat here drizzley el Rio, under a phenomenal work load - like stuff keeps happening (interviews, events, gigs, blah,blah,blah) quicker than I can process it in meaningful way for the magazine - but that’s what I’m working on. The flipside of this means I don’t have much time to research new stuff out there, however, what I have right here is too good to sit on any longer so I’m just gonna keep posting various artist works I have archived until the interviews and articles go live. That way you get to see the goods, the site looks awesome with minimal effort and everyone is a winner! So here’s little more from the lovely Sao Paulo artist Whip whose interview will be up here within the next week which should also satisfy my amaaaazing lady Fe’s (Girl responsible for best blog posts EVER TM) fetish for all things Easy-peasy Japanesey!
