Fafi x Adidas SS10 Photoshoot
Back in February I showed you a preview of the Fafi x Adidas Spring/Summer ‘10 collection here & here. As the collection is now available Fafi has created a lookbook featuring the beautiful French actress/singer, Alka Balbir as head Fafinette.
Vogue Covers: Nippon Vs Brasil
Now, Japan and Brazil (favourite countries everrrr) go head-to-head in my second Vogue cover off. Now I haven’t made this assumption on these covers alone but I reckon it’s pretty obvious that Brazil sexes it and Japan is all about the power of the outfit. That’s because no one does outfits like the Japanese and no one sexes like the Brazilians (!) T’is true! I’m reckoning that top-left screaming Adriana Lima with the wonky ‘G’ might be the one the best Vogue covers ever! Having said that, Fafi’s guest spot editorial at Nippon Vogue in July 2008 was pretty special. T’was lots of controversy being little girls and all, and the fact that Fafinettes are traditionally quite sexual (see left) but I dunno, these girls aren’t posing provocatively and as for the make-up, why I myself recall colouring eyelids and nails with felt-tip pens at such an age, (I assume they didn’t use such methods here), but I reckon it’s a-okay. Glad to post a reminder so we can all appreciate how cool a Vogue moment this was.

Fafi x Adidas Originals Fall/Winter 2009
I posted a sneak preview of a Fafi x Adidas Originals sneaker earlier on in the summer….well now the whole collection is about to drop and images have been released. I can’t say i’m suprised, every item has Fafi written all over it (quite literally) and doesnt fail to get me excited about Adidas again. So what are we getting this season? The colourways are very simple….mainly black and white with the Superskate, Honey Low, Honey Mid and Stan Smith Velcro styles. The footwear is accompnied by a small collection of clothing including my favourite, the Varsity Jacket with an all over custom Fafi print lining. Although the general release is yet to come, you can already buy some styles from Colette.

Fafi For Adidas Originals A/W 09
Some exciting news for all Fafi fans!
Fafi has now completed her third collaboration with Adidas Originals, set to release October 2009. And here is a sneak peak of what to expect - The Honey Mid featuring her comicbook artwork! She has also been busy working on the Summer 2010 collection inspired by her “own Parisian dressing and trips around the globe”. More to come very soon!… x(Fe)
