CIA

A Pop-Up-Bar-as-Art-Installation Project

Yes, you read the title right, a bit of mouthful we know but this is one project the CLFmag team are very excited about! So the question is What do you get if you cross some Pirates, the CIA & The Mothership Group? Erm….spies running after men with eye patches and wooden legs, on some kind of flying vessel maybe? Not quite, but you do get the bar group behind the likes of The Book Club and The Queen Of Hoxton joining forces with the Central Illustration Agency and Pirates to create Clerkenwells first ever pop-up bar come art installation project.

The team for this ambitious project are CIA’s fresh talent, Pirates, a collective of artists & art directors who use a mixture of spraypaint, set-design, paper, film and photography. Inspiration for the project comes straight from the venue’s history, the site was an old factory building specializing in silver lithography. So this idea is all about type, be it modern and bright or traditional and sophisticated. Pirates have full creative control (now we like the sound of that) so expect big, bright and beautiful things!

Pop-Up Pirates launches on Wednesday 19th May, click HERE for more event info and check out their Twitter page for daily updates while your at it.
