If you don’t love this…

Got into the world’s shortest argument today with a guy who borrowed the ex-qui-site A Prophet from me and decided it didn’t measure up to Godfather, Godfellas & ablah,blah,blah. Called time on the dispute right there. First off, A Prophet is like a deal breaker to me – if you don’t see what I see I’m not going to spend time trying to change your opinion because we’re probably too different.. But what I will say is this.
There are two ways to judge a film.
1. Is the story worth telling? (Yay.)
2. Could [the story] have been told any better? (Nay.)
So watch it because no one interprets ‘gangster’ like [director] Jacques Audiard or just because Tahar Rahim happens to be a really great actor/themostf*ckablethingIveeverseeninmylife
